Vacuum cups are the main component of every Mount Evo product, forming the basis of every full mount or completing your modular base. Vacuum cups allow our racks to be mounted to any car and anywhere on said car, This can be the windscreen, roof, sunroof, or rear.

Our vacuum cups aren't in your bathroom.

They are not your usual 'stick to the wall' bathroom suction cups.

Our vacuum cups are tried and tested in industry. Used to lift large window pane's for high-rise buildings, our vacuum cups have a break force of 100kg each.

Activated using the plunger on the side, the vacuum cannot be broken without manually lifting the tabs on the cups.

  • Capable in all weathers

    Regardless of rain, snow or sun, our vacuum cups work as intended. Water acts as a lubricant aiding vacuum and doesn’t affect the force applied. Ensuring maximum vacuum even in adverse conditions.

  • Ultra strong

    Our vacuum cups are ultra strong with each vacuum cup rated to 100kg of holding force. When grouped together on Solo or Piste the combined holding force is 400kg and as much as 600kg for Duo, E-Solo and Sherpa.

  • Modular

    Our vacuum cups are cross-compatible to save you money. Once you have a Mount Evo rack you'll never need to buy another full rack again, just a modular base. This is because you can transfer your vacuum cups from one rack to another.

How do Mount Evo vacuum cups work?

Mounting cups

The vacuum cups can be mounted to a smooth surface by pumping the attached plunger repeatedly

Vacuum safety indicator

Once the yellow indicator band on the plunger is no longer visible the vacuum cup is secure.

Removing cups

The cups can be dismounted and removed by simply pulling the tab on the rubber cup, or lifting the edge.

Technical data

A basic theoretical vacuum force equation is as follows:

Ft = ΔP x A

Ft = 10 x (π x 3^2)

Ft = 282.78 lb (128.7 KG)

A = Area (πr²)

ΔP = Atmospheric - Vacuum pressure

Atmospheric Pressure = 14.7 psi

Vacuum pressure = 4.7 psi (approx)

Our 6 inch vacuum cups therefore have a theoretical break force of 128.7 KG.

This would mean that our Solo bike rack has a total theoretical vacuum force of 514.8KG (128.7x4).

The above information doesn't take into account external losses such as altitude and surface friction. However, it shows that our vacuum cups are incredibly powerful and more than capable of carrying your sporting equipment.
