Rubber Base
The base of each J-hook is covered by a soft, durable rubber. Designed to cover the hardware of Fjord and protect the hull of your kayak or canoe.
Foam Padding
Foam padding covers the up rights of the J-hook, protecting your gear when loading and transporting.
Six Vacuum Cups
While kayaks and canoes are not particularly heavy, they do create a lot of wind resistance. For this reason we created Fjord with six vacuum cups instead of four. So you can be confident on every journey.
Modular Mounting Point
Easily remove and reattach the vacuum cups of Fjord with the modular mounting point. This allows the vacuum cups of Fjord to be transferred to another Mount Evo rack.
Once you have a Mount Evo rack you'll never need to buy another full rack again, just a modular base. This is because you can transfer your vacuum cups from one rack to another.

Our modular vacuum cups will mount to any smooth surface. Allowing you to mount Fjord anywhere on your car, including panoramic glass.
Thanks to their modular design, our vacuum cups can be removed from Fjord and used in conjunction with any of our other racks too.
J-Hooks
The J-hook of Fjord is designed to cradle the kayak or canoe when loaded. It's padded base and high back support your gear during transit while the low front allows for easy access when loading.
With a strong tubular construction, strapping can be fastened to either end of the J-hooks further supporting your gear in transit.
Vacuum Cup Plunger
Each vacuum cup plunger features a built-in yellow safety indicator band. Once the vacuum cup is sufficiently attached to the surface, the yellow safety indicator will no longer be visible. This acts as a visual safety measure to ensure the vacuum cup is secure.

Does Fjord work in the rain?
Yes - Fjord works in all conditions including the rain. Water does not affect the ability of our vacuum cups from holding vacuum. In fact, water lubricates the cup face and improves the vacuum seal.

What is the weight limit of Fjord?
The weight limit of Fjord is 35kg, ensuring almost all kayaks/canoes are compatible.

Can I mount Fjord to my glass roof?
Yes - glass is the perfect surface for the vacuum cups of Fjord to adhere to. This can be your cars windscreen, sunroof, panoramic glass roof and rear window.
Where should I mount my Kayak/Canoe?
Fjord can be mounted anywhere on your car. This can be on the painted roof, glass sunroof or any smooth surface.
